Tracing The Trajectory
Traces of existence, from Husserl’s study of phenomenology, to Heidegger’s existence and time, to Sartre’s existentialism, exploring existence is a major problem in philosophy.

This artistic installation uses infrared sensors and motor linkage to sense the presence of people as they approach, record their position information, the motor drives gears, and the gear belt animated pen follows the movement track and speed of the person, leaving a painting on the white canvas behind. The proposal of this artwork is to explore how to transform the intangible into the tangible, find a bit of colorful existence in the modern life that is full of illusion.
